TRANSFER STATION
This is a site specific, sound installation, which deals with the violent redefinition of areas through urban design that transforms their character. The installation includes painted portraits of well-known people who lived in this area (presented in second-hand frames) and is completed with a sound environment, a loop made out of excerpts from interviews, recitations, songs or music, all directly relating to the portrayed people.

Series of paintings in mixed media, framed with second hand picture frames, on digitally printed background.
The installation includes:
a) A 360°, digitally processed environment which represents the view of the city, photographed from the roof of the specific building.
b) Mixed technique portraits of well-known people who where born, lived or died in the area of Metaxourgeio-Kerameikos, presented in second-hand frames.
c) Sound environment in which excerpts from interviews, recitations, songs or music, as well as field recordings from the area, which relate directly to the portraits.
The choice of the represented people is indicative.
